We are connected through our traditions of love and justice and in our shared faith as Unitarian Universalists. UU the Vote and a lineup of powerful, prophetic UU voices explore the intersections of faith, justice, and democracy in a collective virtual service to mark National Voter Registration Day on September 22. At ingathering this year, UUA President Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray invites Unitarian Universalists to take time to pause, to breathe and feel the ways that we are fundamentally linked to each other, even across virtual space. With gratitude for all of the ways that UUs are caring for one another and for the wellbeing of our communities, let's mark this special time together. Build relationships with communities to make a difference now and in the future. UU religious educator Rayla Mattson, a Black mother, reflects on parenting during a pandemic, helping her children process racial trauma, and finding hope in these uncertain times. Companioning one another spiritually is one of the most important ministries of a faith community and is often referred to as “Pastoral Care.” This robust training has been created for non-ordained leaders.
