University of Louisville Chapter Takes Action for Local Hygiene Impact UNA University of Louisville Chapter partnered with Essity, an international hygiene and health products company, to provide $20,000 worth of hygiene products to La Casita Center, a local nonprofit serving the city’s Latino community. Essity partners, Several Metro Council Representatives, and Kentucky House Representatives came to cheer the chapter on as members unloaded a truckload full of items such as toilet paper, paper towels, and cutlery. Where We Live: Domestic Violence and Children in Storage UNA Southern New York State Division convened to develop recommendations for action on two pressing issues: domestic violence and the family separation crisis at the U.S. southern border. The results were reported to organizations, the public, and in a “shadow report” to the United Nations and the U.S. State Department. Learn more. UNA National Capital Area Chapter Hosts Casual Conversations around Gender... with a side of Gingersnaps The UNA National Capital Area Chapter launched with “Gin Gender Salon”, a friendly, intimate opportunity for members of the community to table SDG 5: Gender Equality. The idea behind these salons is to provide an intimate setting for guided conversations that address the difficult topics around gender. Their first topic? “How do we move from a rape culture to a consent culture?” Read more. Scoring Goals for the Global Goals Meet the UNA San Diego Chapter’s Women’s Soccer Team! This chapter proudly supports a team of female recreational soccer players, ranging in ages from 41 to 77. As local ambassadors for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the nineteen women athletes have chosen to highlight and raise awareness for the goals they are most passionate about.
