Read More Core Residency ProgramsThe department’s core residencies are comprised of two general surgery programs (one based at UPMC Presbyterian and the other at UPMC Mercy) and an integrated vascular surgery residency. Clinical FellowshipsThe department offers fellowships in acute care, hepatobiliary surgery, bariatric surgery, pediatric surgery, pediatric critical care transplantation, surgical critical care, and surgical oncology, as well as an independent vascular surgery training program. Research TrainingThe Department of Surgery hosts four NIH training grants, which allow for a dedicated effort in the area of resident and fellow research.
