The Summer Theatre Program is a ministry co-sponsored by Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Springfield, VA, and Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA. Started in 1997, STP has become a hallmark of the region's programming for high school youth. Celebrating its twenty-first year, this Program seeks to offer students of all skills, abilities, and experience the opportunity to be a part of a theatrical production. In so doing, the students become a community and instill within each other a trust, confidence, and abiding joy that carries over into daily life. AUDITION FORM NOW AVAILABLE: Click HereAuditions - Wednesday June 5th: 6:30-9pm OR Monday, June 10: 6:30-9pmAuditions will be at St. Bernadette School (7600 Old Keene Mill Rd, Springfield, VA)Auditions are open to all current 7th thru 12th grade students (rising 8th through rising college freshmen). Come prepared to sing a few bars of a song of your choosing and to dance a small routine that will be taught at auditions. Please plan to arrive no later than 8:15 so you are sure to have enough time to complete your audition. With few exceptions, once your audition is complete you will be free to go.Callbacks - Tuesday, June 11: 6:30-10pmCallbacks will also be at St. Bernadette SchoolCallbacks are conducted on an as-needed basis and offer the Directors an opportunity to see something more or something else. Just because someone receives a callback does not guarantee them a role, nor does the lack of a callback indicate that you do not have a role.Not an actor or an actress? We have opportunities for you, too! Like to build things or paint? Join stage crew! Have an eye for fashion and make-up? Then be a part of our costuming team! Play an instrument? Our Pit Orchestra could use your talents. There are opportunity for anyone of any age--from 9-99--who wants to be a part of this incredible program.
