Make your commitment today to build a more inclusive world, starting in your school or community We believe that inclusion is not only the issue of our time, it is today’s most needed skill. I pledge to spread inclusion by working to change how people treat others with differing abilities in my community. This pledge is the first step. It will be followed by many others to make recreation, education and community spaces inclusive for everyone. I pledge to spread inclusion by remove the differences and Inequality between people with ID and without ID across the country through the power of sports, unity and Inclusion. #ipledgetoinclude #inclusionrevolution #UnifiedLeadership #ChooseToInclude #specialolympicspakistan I pledge to spread inclusion by making my future classroom a safe, happy, and supportive place for ALL my students! I pledge to spread inclusion by creating diverse and inclusive programs for our community and celebrating the differences between us. Using the difference to built strength in the teams I am part of. I pledge to spread inclusion by educating more people about disabilities and celebrating our differences, not trying to erase them. I want to spread the word to end the word. From kids to communities, see inspirational examples of how inclusion is taking root, and leading to real change, both at home and around the world. There’s a misconception about inclusion. When you hear the term “all-inclusive resort,” you think of luxury. But inclusion is not a luxury, it is a necessity. So we show up: on playgrounds, in music classes, at junior gyms. We arrive with high hopes and open hearts, but it would be a lie to say they are not sometimes dashed by looks from other parents. When I was in first grade, Loretta Claiborne came to visit my class. She showed us her gold medals from Special Olympics victories in long-distance running. I have been a Special Olympics athlete since 2012. Besides being an athlete, I am also a Special Olympics US Youth Ambassador and a Montana Special Olympics State Youth Activation Committee member. I have always been very protective and concerned about my younger sister, Sagarika, who was born with an intellectual disability. I feel extremely blessed to have a sister like her. She is a gift to our family. Spread the word for inclusion in your community, school, or workplace all year round. All the resources you need are here - start planning your event today!

We think the world would be better if everyone were included. Around the world, exclusion and discrimination continue to divide people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are changing that with grassroots action for inclusion. That’s Spread the Word.
