Charity Events The choir continues to uphold its tradition of raising several thousand pounds Annually for charitable organisations locally as well as in England and abroad. WELCOME TO THE CHOIR WEBSITE The Choir practices at Wesley Church Taibach on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.00pm, under the baton of our Musical Director Mr Matthew Lewis. Our repertoire consists of Folk songs, Ballads, sturdy male choruses from the world of Opera along with songs from popular stage musicals, Welsh Hymns along with contemporary songs. The Choir currently has Fifty Choristers The highlight of the Cymric s Musical year is of course The Annual Celebrity Concert and during the past years, Stuart Burrows, Dennis O Neil , Guang Yang, Jason Howard, Rebecca Evans, Adriano Graziani, David Kempster, Rhys Meirion, Sian Cotti , Gwyn Hughes Jones, Lesley Garrett and Rhian Lois have appeared as our Guest Artistes most of whom have been accompanied on the piano. The Choir s year usually concludes during the Christmas festive period with Carol Services at various homes for our local Senior Citizens and the less fortunate.
