Plus Size Costume Shop carries a full line of professionally hand-made Halloween costumes, Renaissance garb, Christmas costumes and historical clothing in sizes 0X (14/16W), 1X (18/20W), 2X (22/24W), 3X (26/28W), 4X (30/32W), 5X (34/36W), 6X (38/40W), 7X (42/44W), and 8X (46/48W). We apologize for any inconvenience our temporary closure may cause you this Halloween season. Our History Plus Size Costume Shop started as a small, mother-daughter owned company in 1999. The company was born out of personal necessity; we were in need of some fabulous costumes and quickly realized that we could not find what we wanted anywhere. With many years of seamstress experience behind us, we decided to make some costumes and offer them on eBay at Halloween. The demand was apparant and Plus Size Costume Shop was started. Over the last 19 years, we have been steadily growing, expanding our catalog of costumes and creating costume magic for customers in every U.S. state and countries all over the world. We now sell primarily on our own web site, however still occassionally list on Etsy during the Halloween season. In addition to offering a full line of exquisite Halloween costumes, we also offer Renaissance and historical clothing and Christmas costumes as well. We have also recently expanded our standard size range to include extended super sizes (6X, 7X, and 8X). What Makes Us Different? Over the years, many companies have started offering larger sizes to compete in the plus-size market. However, many of these offerings are imported from other countries and the sizing can be inaccurate and the quality can be very poor. We have designed all of our own patterns so that our sizing always matches the given measurements. We also hand-pick all of the fabrics and embellishments to guarantee that they are of the highest quality and every item is thoroughly checked for quality before it leaves our studio. Our costumes hold up to years of wear and are often sought out by theater groups and reenactors who use their costumes on a daily basis. We are also able to offer custom orders (depending on season), color changes on nearly every costume we create and sizing adjustments. We are available to answer any questions you may have about our costumes and strive to give every customer an excellent buying experience from our company. Shipping and Delivery Items are shipped within one week after receiving the order. Our standard shipping method is USPS priority mail (2-3 day delivery, on average, once the item has been shipped). We also offer rush order services and overnight shipping for an additional cost. Halloween Shipping "How late can I order and still have my costume by Halloween?" Our advice is to order as early as possible. Due to the fact that items are hand-made upon order, and every item takes a different amount of time to create, we don't have an exact cut-off date. Also, many of our costumes are limited due to accessories or fabric supply, so specific costumes can and do sell out early. Items are scheduled to be shipped in the order they are received (with the exception of rush orders). Once our calendar is full, we stop accepting orders for Halloween delivery.
