Bicycle Light Giveaway
As the clocks roll back, ending daylight savings time, more Anteaters will be biking at night. Please ensure that you have the required bike reflectors on the wheels, pedals, and seat post, and that a white front bike light has been properly installed. To encourage safe night biking, the Bicycle Education and Enforcement Program (BEEP) is conducting our annual bike light giveaway. Simply submit the Be Visible Survey and pick up your lights at our Transportation Office!

Bicycle Rebate Program
UCI Transportation is offering a $50 bike rebate program for students, faculty, and staff who purchase a bike between July 1, 2021, and November 30, 2021. Take advantage of this limited-time offer by applying before December 31, 2021!

OCTA University Pass Available Online
University Pass (UPass) memberships for the 2021-2022 fiscal year are now available to purchase online through the myCommute portal. UCI Transportation has negotiated a special rate from OCTA for UCI faculty, staff, and students from the main campus, which allows for unlimited use of OCBus standard routes throughout Orange County. This year's UPass will be valid through June 30, 2022, at a low, one-time cost of $169.

2021-2022 Membership Sign-Ups Available
Faculty and staff who commute sustainably may sign up for the 2021-2022 Sustainable Transportation Membership through myCommute. ST members may receive participation benefits, including incentive parking permits. Refer to our step-by-step guide on how to sign up.

Commuter and Resident Parking Permits
Virtual parking permits are available for purchase online through myCommute. Prior to purchasing your permit, please ensure that your address has been updated with University Registrar or UCPath. Permit options will be displayed based on your campus affiliation and local address.
As a reminder, student residents and commuters living within two miles of campus may submit an application for a parking permit

Parking Permit Discounts
Discounted monthly general parking (C, S) permit rates for faculty, staff, and students will be implemented per the following phased schedule:

October 1 - December 31, 2021: 25% discount
Beginning January 1, 2022: Rates revert to their approved, full rate

In addition to discounting monthly general parking, and in support of the infrequent commuter, UCI Transportation offers a discount on the general day-use permit from $13 to $7 through June 30, 2022. This discount program excludes Executive (X), Reserved (AR), and Preferred (P) permits, which will be charged at their full rate.
