In September, the third cohort of NISE Network's Sustainability Fellowship Program shared their progress implementing a sustainability project at their museums. ​​​​​​​If you received the NISE Network’s 2020 Explore Science: Earth and Space toolkit Part A earlier this year, then you have recently been contacted about receiving Part B of this year’s toolkit in the coming months. The Moon Adventure Game is a hands-on collaborative experience for STEM learning in museums and planetariums. The Children’s Creativity Museum unveils an ongoing event series focused on making sustainability accessible for young children, Sustainability Challenges For Kids, which is a collection of activities to be done at home centered around the important concept of sustainability-making choices that help people, communities, and environments be healthy now and in the future. This online workshop covers the science behind several of the 2020 Explore Science: Earth Space Toolkit B activities that focus on the Moon followed by a virtual tour of NASA's MoonLab. Are you a chemistry professional or informal science educator that shares your love of chemistry with your community? Apply to participate in a 5-week online, interactive workshop where you will learn best practices for using a framework for hands-on activities to increase publics' attitudes about chemistry. Four workshops will be hosted in fall 2020 through winter 2021. Members of the team that developed the game will introduce the game's learning objectives, provide an overview of the materials and professional development resources, and prototype testers will share their experiences including adaptations for early childhood visitors. The National Informal STEM Education Network (NISE Net) is a community of informal educators and scientists dedicated to supporting learning about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) across the United States. The NISE Network community works year-round to develop and disseminate educational materials and resources.
