The DANCING ON THE CEILING concert, which ran from October 12-13 at the Margaret H'Doubler Performance Space (Madison, WI) was COMPLETELY SOLD OUT!!CHECK OUT SIMONE AND CHIAO-PING'S INTERVIEW ON "CENTRAL TIME", W/ROB FERRETT WPR https://www.wpr.org/dancing-ceiling-performance-showcases-female-dancers-over-50 LCPD is excited and honored for this opportunity to stand behind this wonderful project - Dancing on the Ceiling: performances by women of a certain age. Artists in other performing fields commonly continue in their careers for many years, but due to the physical rigor of dance, performers are often viewed and valued for their youthful dance technique. These seasoned artists, including Charlotte Adams, Beth Corning, Simone Ferro, Heidi Latsky, Li Chiao-Ping, Deb Loewen, and Endalyn Taylor present the value of time, experience, and dedication to producing skillful performers with nuance and strength. Not “rather than” or “instead of”, these mature dancers “also” have much to offer and this concert makes this point. LANDED, SEPT. 8       Our LANDED performance on September 8th at Old Dominion University was a huge success--many thanks to the folks at ODU for all their incredible organization and support! Thank you so much! Landed, a collaboration between choreographer Li Chiao-Ping and visual artist Douglas Rosenberg, is an evening-length, multimedia dance work that investigates the immigrant experience through stories, personal and historical, related to each cast member. This work blends together the abstract and symbolic, with physical expression and spoken word, to form a distillation of journeys, hope, loss, pain, and resilience. Created with support from The MAP Fund, a program of Creative Capital, primarily supported by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Additional funds come from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.THANK YOU TO ALL FOR THE DONATIONS FOR RAICES, TO HELP REUNITE FAMILIES. YOU HELPED US RAISE $243 TO GIVE TO THIS ORGANIZATION!!  https://www.raicestexas.org
