She directs the Lexington Historical Society's Colonial Singers (click on the name to visit) and sings both soprano and alto (though not at the same time) with Vox Lucens, a 12-member a cappella Renaissance choir (click on the name for more), and the UUlations, a women's a cappella group. New recording! I cannot be at the Isles of Shoals this year, as I have been every August for decades. To console myself, and hopefully others, I have made a private-issue recording of beloved songs from Star Island. Half are from previously released recordings of mine; some I have sung for years at the family conference we attend, Life On a Star (LOAS); and a few are brand new. Rockin Out on Star Island features Billy Novick on whistle channeling The Sandpiper. Larry Luddecke works his magic on keyboard, and guest pianist John Yannis accompanies me on an utterly Victorian rendition of Good-bye, Sweet Day! -- sung at the Isles of Shoals for a mere 140 years. Chickens and Bears celebrates the affection between those who jump into the ocean at dawn (know as Polar Bears) and those who most definitely DO NOT, known as Polar Chickens.
