Con motivo de su lanzamiento, el Magíster en Patrimonio Cultural UC nos encargó un registro del estado actual del Palacio Pereira en el centro de Santiago y una serie de entrevistas con actores destacados en el proceso de rehabilitación del edificio.

Celebrating its foundation, UC Cultural Heritage Master has commissioned us a film introducing current state of Pereira Palace in Santiagos city center and a series of interviews with relevant actors in the buildings rehabilitation process.

Booklet Workshop Y-GSA + MARQ-PUC

Estudiantes de Y-GSA editaron un libro compilatorio de la experiencia del workshop realizado en el año 2014 en Japón y Chile, en conjunto a el Magister en Arquitectura PUC. Diego Grass de Plan Común fue uno de los integrantes del equipo de organizadores, junto a Koh Kitayama, Kazuhiro Kojima, Mariko Terada y Rodrigo Pérez de Arce.

Students at Y-GSA have edited a book presenting the workshop done in Chile and Japan (2014) with the Architecture Master Course of PUC. Diego Grass of Plan Común was part of the organizing team, together with Koh Kitayama, Kazuhiro Kojima, Mariko Terada and Rodrigo Pérez de Arce.

ARQ Docs ‘Atelier Bow-Wow’

Durante Abril y Mayo 2015, Plan Común colaboró con Yoshiharu Tsukamoto de Atelier Bow-Wow y Sando Takuto de Tsubame Architects (ambos profesores de Tokyo Tech) en un workshop de intervenciones de espacios públicos en el Cementerio General de Santiago, Chile. Este trabajo se enmarcó en el Taller de Ejercitación “Lugares Comúnes” (Escuela de Arquitectura PUC, 2do Semestre 2015) e incluyó ponencias públicas de ambos arquitectos.

During April and May 2015, Plan Común collaborated with Yoshiharu Tsukamoto of Atelier Bow-Wow and Sando Takuto of Tsubame Architects (both academics at Tokyo Tech) in a workshop of interventions in public spaces in General Cemetery of Santiago, Chile. This event was part of the Advanced Studio “Common Places” (PUC Architecture School, 2nd Semester 2015) and included public lectures by both architects.

Ediciones ARQ ha publicado nuestro segunda colaboración en la serie ARQ Docs. Esta vez se trata de una compilación de nuestras 4 entrevistas con Yoshiharu Tsukamoto de Atelier Bow-Wow, realizadas entre los años 2008 y 2014. También se incluye la primera traducción a español e inglés de la introducción a su investigación “Commonalities” (todavía en curso).

Ediciones ARQ has published our second collaboration with the series ARQ Docs. This time it is a compilation of our 4 interviews with Yoshiharu Tsukamoto of Atelier Bow-Wow (2008-2014). It also includes the first translation to both english and spanish of the introduction to his research “Commonalities” (still on going).

Hemos sido invitados a dar una segunda versión del curso Video y Proyecto en la Escuela de Arquitectura UC durante el segundo semestre del 2015. We have been invited to give a second edition of the course Video and Project at UC Architecture School during the second semester of 2015. Workshop Vivienda Colectiva: Proyecto en Disputa / Pier Vittorio Aureli

Workshop MARQ / Y-GSA: Monadnocks y Umbrales / ‘Monadnocks and Thresholds’/h2>

Diego Grass -socio de 0300TV, OnArchitecture y Plan Común junto al arquitecto chileno Rodrigo Pérez de Arce han concluido en Japón la primera parte de un workshop internacional entre la Escuela de Arquitectura UC y la Yokohama Graduate School of Architecture (Y-GSA).

Este proceso concluyó con dos charlas de ambos profesores, presentando los proyectos de espacio público de Rodrigo Pérez de Arce, junto con el trabajo audiovisual y arquitectónico de Diego Grass (0300TV / Plan Común).

A fines de Septiembre, los profesores Koh Kitayama y Kazuhiro Kojima se trasladarán junto a un grupo de 9 estudiantes japoneses a completar el workshop en Chile, continuando el desarrollo de proyectos de intervención patrimonial en Santiago Centro.

Diego Grass -partner at 0300TV, OnArchitecture and Plan Común together with Chilean architect Rodrigo Pérez de Arce have finished the first stage of an international workshop between UC Architecture School and Yokohama Graduate School of Architecture (Y-GSA).

This process ended with two lectures by both professors, presenting public space projects by Rodrigo Pérez de Arce, together with the audiovisual and architectonic work of Diego Grass (0300TV / Plan Común).

By the end of September, professors Koh Kitayama and Kazuhiro Kojima will travel with a group of 9 Japanese students to finish the workshop in Chile, resuming the development of heritage intervention projects at Downtown Santiago.

Arsitek Muda Indonesia (AMI)

Diego Grass presentó el trabajo audiovisual y proyectos de arquitectura que ha realizado junto a 0300TV y Plan Común ante el colectivo de Arquitectos Jóvenes de Indonesia (Arsitek Muda Indonesia, AMI) durante una visita a ese país el pasado mes de Agosto.

AMI congrega a un grupo de tres generaciones de profesionales de este país, quienes se reúnen mensualmente para presentar y discutir los proyectos de sus integrantes o recibir invitados internacionales tales como Rem Koolhaas o Kenya Hara.

La locación de la charla fue Rumah Andra Matin, obra del destacado arquitecto indonesio Andra Matin.

Diego Grass presented the audiovisual works and architecture projects he has developed together with 0300TV and Plan Común to the collective of Young Indonesian Architects (Arsitek Muda Indonesia, AMI), during a visit to that country last August.

AMI gathers a group of three generations of professionals from that country, who meet once a month to present and discuss the projects of each member, plus receiving international guests such as Rem Koolhaas or Kenya Hara.

The location of this lecture was Rumah Andra Matin, designed by the renowned Indonesian architect Andra Matin.

ARQUC:Hacia una Escuela de Arquitectura Común / Towards a Shared Architecture School

Con motivo de sus 120 años la Escuela de Arquitectura UC nos encargó una serie audiovisual de entrevistas titulada ‘Hacia una Escuela de Arquitectura Común’. La primera serie consta de 5 temas y se desarrollará durante la segunda mitad del 2014. Para cada tema habrán dos entrevistados: un representante de FADEU UC y un invitado externo. Los invitados presentarán posiciones específicas en torno a discusiones públicas que obligan a la arquitectura a tomar posición -incluso revisando sus propios límites-.

Celebrating its 120th birthday, UC Architecture School has commissioned us a series of video interviews under the theme “Towards a Shared Architecture School”. First series will present 5 themes, which will be presented during the second half of 2014. There will be two interviewees for each theme: one from FADEU UC and an external one. These guests will share their specific thoughts on public-interest subjects in which architecture has to find a clear position -to the extent of reviewing its own limits-.

CMNdiálogos I

Ya se encuentra disponible el primer número de CMNdiálogos, una edición especial de la publicación CMNcasos, editada por 0300TV por encargo del Consejo de Monumentos Nacionales. En esta ocasión, se presentan de manera íntegra las conversaciones suscritas en el marco del I Encuentro Internacional ‘Diálogos sobre Patrimonio’ llevados a cabo una vez al año en Santiago, Chile. Destaca la conversación entre los arquitectos chilenos Rodrigo Pérez de Arce y Smiljan Radic, y la establecida entre el urbanista ecuatoriano Fernando Carrión y el historiador chileno José de Nordenflycht.

The first issue of CMNdiálogos (CMNdialogues), a special edition of CMNcasos, edited by 0300TV and commissioned by Consejo de Monumentos Nacionales (the National Heritage Preservation Council). It presents a full transcription of the conversations from the 1st International Seminar “Dialogos sobre Patrimonio” (“Heritage Dialogues”), held once a year in Santiago, Chile. We recommend the conversations between Chilean architects Rodrigo Pérez de Arce and Smijlan Radic, and the dialogue between equatorial urbanist Fernando Carrión and Chilean historian José de Nordenflytch.

Plan Común: Público Privado at X SPB

Plan Común: Público-Privado (Shared Plan: Public-Private) is a series of prototype projects aiming at maximizing public space, which will be developed by a team of 100 architects throughout the world, born between 1973 and 1989 (the years of Chiles military dictatorship and the incubation of todays economic model, now spread throughout the world), with a shared authorship under the name Plan Común: Público-Privado(Shared Plan: Public-Private). Questioning the validity of established ideological and/or normative models we want to reproduce new and fertile public spaces.

Our presentation at this years’ São Paulo architecture biennale include a workshop with a group of local young architects on October 16 -from 17h to 20h- at Casa do Povo. For more info click here.

YoVivoMap8

0300TV realizó el registro de la jornada ciudadana YoVivoMap8, realizada el 4 de Mayo del 2013, convocada por la Corporación Pedaleable y distintas organizaciones de ciclistas de Santiago. Esta actividad –que contó con el patrocinio de los municipios de Providencia y Santiago-, tuvo como objetivo sensibilizar
a la población santiaguina sobre la necesidad de recuperar este torrente como espacio público, abierto y libre, para la ciudadanía.

0300TV documented YoVivoMap8 (WeLiveMapocho), a civil engagement event performed in May 4th, 2013, organized by Corporación Pedaleable and various cycling collectives in Santiago. This act -sponsored by municipalities such as Providencia and Santiago- was aimed at promoting the necessity of reclaiming Mapocho river as a public space, open and free for every citizen.

Metro de Santiago: Línea 6

0300TV realizó un análisis del contexto urbano donde se ubicarán las futuras estaciones de la Línea 6 del Metro en Santiago, Chile. El mandante de este estudio fue Móbil Arquitectos, oficina encargada del diseño de las diez estaciones de metro y espacios públicos asociados.

0300TV made an commissioned study on the urban context of the future stations of Line 6 of Santiago Metro, Chile. The commissioner was Móbil Arquitectos, the architecture practice in charge of designing these 10 new stations and their public spaces.

Plan Común / 2nd Prize

We are happy to announce that our architecture office Plan Común was awarded with the Second Prize in the Competition for a new Academic and and Research Complex in Universidad Catolicas School of Architecture. The jury was directed by Hugo Mondragón and presided by Alejandro Aravena. Others members of the jury were Francisco Chateau, José Cruz, Camilo Restrepo, Jose Maria Sáez, Juan Agustín Soza and rector Ignacio Sánchez, amongst others. For more info click here.

Marq Lecture

We were invited to give a lecture at MARQ [Universidad Católica de Chile. The lecture is entitled Arquitectura, Crítica y Video and will be held next Thursday 23 at 19h.

Our interview to Florian Beigel and Philip Christou from Architecture Research Unit is being presented as part of the exhibition Translations at Swiss Architecture Museum [S AM].

0300TV produced a series of interviews for the exhibition ‘Antes del Diluvio: Mesopotamia 3500-2100 A.C’ on Sumerian Civilization curated by Pedro Azara. The selected authors are Piotr Michalowski, Gonzalo Rubio, Dina Katz, Jean-Louis Huot, Eduardo Gil Bera and Joaquín Sanmartín.

The opening of the exhibition will be held during next week in CaixaForum Madrid. Review by El País.

Interview with Office Kersten Geers David Van Severen for Solo-Houses

We received a commission from Christian Bourdais to produce a series of videos and interviews with the selected authors for Solo-Houses, a housing project in Spain. Other participant architects include Pezo Von Ellrichshausen, Johnston Marklee Architects, Bijoy Jain and MOS amongst others.

We will include extended versions of these videos in our new service for architecture-related institutions, OnArchitecture.
