This Gurl GotWanderlust

Ive always liked the idea of travelling. As a kid we spent the majority of family holidays travelling through the UK and I have very fond memories of it but it wasnt until I was older that we started going abroad. And maybe thats when the wanderlust started. Im very lucky to be able to say I have visited lots of places, but I also want to explore the world a lot more. So here are just a few I hope to visit over the next few years!

VESA Ecuador: Road Less Travelled2014

Following on from my previous post (which can be found here) I thought I would detail the second part of my Ecuador trip The Road Less Travelled. VESA offer an additonal ten days out there after volunteering, basically to get to see more of the country and the culture which my friend and I opted to do. Whereas the group from the previous two weeks was from 20-40 people, only seven people had opted to do to additional week, which was brilliant because it meant we got to spend more time together and bond more.

VESA Ecuador: Amazonas Explored2014

When I was getting ready to jet off to Ecuador I looked all over the internet for blog posts, videos etc detailing the trip but apart from a couple, there was nothing much around! So I decided to write this blog post to basically detail the trip and include some must know info for any future participants of the adventure!

Im back!

Long time no see! Yes I am back and I feel so out of the loop! I returned from Ecuador (more on that later) on the 1st July intending to do a vlog straight away however work rang literally the next day and I spent two weeks doing 7am-4pm at work, meaning I could get no filming done. I also jetted off to Majorca last week and have returned to work again so its all a bit hectic at the moment! I really want to try and find time to film a video and hopefully at some point on my day off I will actually get this dream fulfilled!

I have been doing some intense reading while on my holidays (well, for me anyway!) so I hope to have reviews/wrap ups of the books asap! Ive got fantasy, YA romance, Non-fiction, Sci-fi, re-reads so there should be plenty for everyone!

I will do a completely seperate blog post about Ecuador as well as edit together my footage from it (Im having trouble with file formats and shizz at the moment so please bare with me!) but I had the most amazing time! Those who follow me on Instagram and Twitter will already know a little about it, but Im looking forward to sharing a bit more about it!

As ever, its lovely to be back and hopefully Ill return to YouTube soon!

This week feels like the most hectic week ever. I have an exam tomorrow which means I have spent the majority of today and yesterday revising, on thursday my best friend is home from uni so Im spending the day with her and then Friday is my last day. It really is crazy how quickly its come around but I am beyond excited! My injections are done, Im stocked up with headache tablets, tummy tablets, malaria pills, inspect spray (mainly due to the mother) and we fly from Manchester at 05:55am on Saturday morning. Bonkers.

Welcome

So I decided to start a blog! Since I appear to be appalling at making Booktube videos lately, I thought this way I can still keep you all updated on whats happening in Katies world (which is usually, not a lot!)  

I also seem to have lost all of the blogging skills that I acquired aged fourteen so thats a little depressing. Sign of old age But fingers crossed I will rediscover the ability to blog and hopefully it will end up looking somewhat professional, as opposed to an eleven-year-old girls MySpace page!
