He then practiced veterinary medicine for two years in a small animal practice in Edmonton, Alberta. Thereafter, he completed a small animal internship in medicine and surgery at Colorado State University and a surgical residency at Michigan State University. In 1997, following rigorous examination, he graduated from the American college of Veterinary Surgeons as a diplomate. This college validates the surgeon’s competency in the art and science of soft tissue and orthopedic veterinary surgery.Dr. DeCamp, a native of Flint, is a former professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Michigan State University and has joined Animal Surgical Center of Michigan. Early in Dr. DeCamp’s post-secondary education, he studied English literature and received his first degree therein. During this time of study, he also completed pre-veterinary courses and subsequently earned aDr. Pearson graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Iowa State University in 1993 and completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Missouri. She completed a residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Missouri and subsequently was board-certified with the American College ofDr. Noah Bander earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University. He subsequently completed a Rotating Small Animal Internship in Medicine and Surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. His Residency in Small Animal Surgery was at MedVet MedicineThis is an amazing facility! The doctors and staff took such wonderful care of our sweet Honey Bee. Our dog was missing for 17 days and when we found her she had been hit by a car and we weren’t able to save her right rear leg. ASC has the best surgeons and vet staff and we are so grateful to them for saving our dog. You all have so much love and compassiontowards our furry friends. We consider you our Honey Bee’s Guardian Angels! Thank you!- Sarah G.The staff here is wonderful. They treat you like family. We had to bring our dog Hank in after he dislocated his elbow. They got us in the office immediately. Everything was explained clearly, Dr. DeCamp gave us plenty of time for questions. Dr. DeCamp called me first thing the morning after to answer questions that I had come up with overnight and Dr. Doyle who also helped with Hank also called to check on him as did the technician later the same day. The front office staff is also very helpful, understanding and extremely friendly.- Allison W.Fancy (male cat) had urinary blockage and needed what they call “male to female” surgery. ASC took very good care of him. They sent him home with plenty of pain meds in individual syringes so we didn’t even have to measure it. They saved his life and now he is back to his happy self. Our Riley torn his knee ligament and now has pins and a plate in his leg. The Dr. and staff here did a wonderful job putting Riley back together and treated us with such kindness. Having your pet have surgery is not fun and quite stressful, but the center here made it a good experience. I would recommend this place to any pet owner who’s pet needs surgery.
