BEGINNERS
Students are introduced to building characters with dialogues through exercises, script breakdown and improvisation, while learning the Technical acting with the camera. Students with stage experience will learn the difference of acting on film vs. theatre. Some acting background is always necessary for even our beginner classes.
This class allows matured teen students with prior approval.
Students learn the original Stanislavski Method of Physical Action through exercises that enhance their acting skills, and develop character. Exercises, Improvisation, sense and emotional memory exercise are used to help students make character choices while maintaining the technical aspect of on-camera acting.

INTERMEDIATE AND NON-BEGINNERS
Intermediate class is a step above the beginners' class and pertains to students who are still working on their memorization, and understanding of scenes and character. Students do not need approval to join the intermediate class if they have prior beginners class experience from our studio. Students joining from other places need to send an email first to make sure that it is the right class. Email : nextactorstudio@gmail.com
Non-Beginners' class is by approval only as the class starts working with challenging materials, and long scripts. Beginner students who are not approved in this class, may join the intermediate class. This allows the participation of students who are ready to move forward to learn and apply the System into more complex scenes, intense monologues and interesting improvisation exercises. Classes work with your habits, and prepare you for auditions. Class focuses on cold reads, scene study, emotional choices, blocking and scapes. Students use various exercises to enhance their acting skills, and form and stay in character, by using the Method of Physical Action, and emotional memory. They learn to explore texts and include blocking in their curriculum, so they can start hitting the marks and stay in character, while finding their moments, all at the same time. Class will also focus on the dramatics of on-camera acting with improv, truth and belief. Intensive on-camera works help students work in an inspired manner with every script and can turn their characters on without missing a beat. Students use various exercises to enhance their acting skills, and form and stay in character, by using the Method of Physical Action, and emotional memory. They learn to explore texts and include blocking in their curriculum, so they can start hitting their marks and stay in character, while finding their moments, all at the same time.
Session includes scene works, monologue study, commercial copies, mock audition and acting for post production. For Serious Students only, as this class will train students for booking roles, working on the set, therefore will offer feedbacks that you need to be prepared for.

INTENSE
This class is for trained actors who are applying Stanislavski to their texts and finding their strength and weaknesses while performing in class.
Classes focus on intensive scene works, monologues, improvisation and moments. Students are usually working actors and come with a lot of training. They are expected to handle cold reading, cue card reading, spontaneous shoots and other aspects of on-camera acting.
Scripts and exercises can be challenging.
Therefore, thisclass requires approval to join.

METHOD ACTORS
While on set with the legendary Al Pacino, our Stanislavski alumnus Sam Hoger asked the thespian his thoughts about learning the method, to which Mr. Pacino replied: "Only Method actors are real actors."

STANISLAVSKI METHOD AT NEXT ACTOR, HOUSTON
Stanislavski Method Acting Classes at our studio are designed to coordinate the System with on-camera technique, to help students find their strengths, eliminate their habits and perform as in life. Advanced Students must strive to achieve psycho-physical union while in character as they work with Intensive scenes and monologues, and build and live in characters with nuances and colors.
Through exercises, improvisations, emotional memory, and the Method of Physical Action, the System aims to transform the student into the character and live the role, both on film and stage.
We are the only studio in Texas where one can learn the truest, most authentic form of Stanislavski Method, including the original System that developed in the Moscow Arts Theatre of Russia, and the revised Method of Physical Action that was formed when Mr. Stanislavski was living in Paris.
Method Acting students often collaborate with our filmmaking students to make shorts and apply their learning to experience the true form of the technique, as they build characters and live in them. Sincere students are frequently cast in our feature productions, and continue to enjoy the craft.
