Central Libraries Mission Statement

The Co-Central Libraries and the Contract Libraries of the Nassau Library System provide extensive collections of print, non-print, and online resources for System-wide use. The Levittown Public Library is a designated Information Network of the Foundation Center. We serve as the system's point of access to its resources. Updated weekly, the Foundation Directory Online offers the most comprehensive, in-depth information available concerning U.S. grantmakers. Foundation Grants to Individuals Online is a database of nearly 10,000 foundation and public charity programs that fund students, artists, researchers and other individual grantseekers. Foundation Maps is an interactive database that enables the grantseeker/maker to examine demographic, socio-economic data concerning foundation philanthropy.
