Curtis Macdonald is a musician, composer, sound designer, and radio & podcast producer with over 15 years of experience in original music and sound.

Currently, Curtis is leading production teams through collaborative workflows, while simultaneously creating edge mixes for immersive, audio-forward experiences.

In 2015, he won a Peabody Award for his work on the podcast Meet The Composer. In 2018 he co-wrote, produced, and sound designed a full-length documentary, Bernstein’s Black America that generated record-breaking audience engagement for WQXR in New York City.

In 2019, he co-wrote, directed and produced a radio biopic feature on the great actor, singer and legendary American icon Harry Belafonte and co-created The Open Ears Project for WNYC Studios which was named one of The 50 Best Podcasts of 2019 by The Atlantic Magazine.

Furthermore, Curtis composes original music and sound design for artists, brands, agencies, marketers, institutions, and filmmakers, including full-service, spatial audio post-production.
