The Treviso Plains
Where grapes have been cultivated for millennia
It is here, nestled on the plains between the Adriatic Sea and the Dolomites, that the Glera grape is grown. The vineyard soils are rich with limestone and clay; a combination of the ancient salty marshlands that are millions of years old, with the alluvial soils. Warm, sun-filled days and cool evenings during growing seasons are moderated by sea influences, resulting in long ripening days for the grapes, with daytime temperature shifts required to produce flavorful and refreshing bubbles.
